2024 Board Candidates & ByLaws Review

Please familiarize yourself with the MSK Region Members interested in sitting on the upcoming 2025-2026 Board of Directors. You are asked to vote for this amazing slate of 13 members who have been nominated by the current Board to serve an upcoming 2 year term as elected Directors.  These elected Directors will either serve as Executive Directors (President, VP, Treasurer, Secretary) or as Directors and Chairpersons of a Standing Committee.

Additionally, you will note that “Revisions to the Bylaws” are being proposed which require your vote as well. Bob Cryan and Warren Gardner drafted these proposed revisions to the Bylaws for the Musik-Stadt PCA Region as a result of suggestions and guidance put forth from National Office staff at Porsche Club of America headquarters.

The new Bylaws (“Revisions to the Bylaws”) are presented for your review, and you will be asked to Accept & Adopt or Reject.

Following that vote, the candidate voting will open to your selections, one at a time, and the “Cast My Vote” button will appear once all choices have been made.

You will need your PCA member number to log in to the Ballot page.

Find this by logging into your PCA membership on the national PCA website, on your paper PCA membership card, or on your digital PCA membership card in your phone’s Wallet.

Voting Is Open Until 11:59 PM December 15th.

2. JOESPH SWANSON
– Vice President of the Board – Director

It’s been my pleasure to serve as Vice-President of your club for the past two years. I look forward to your consideration in this coming election. In the next coming term, I envision that the new board will continue to work towards new member engagement and leadership development. This is critical to the future of our club. We will need to focus our energies towards meeting the needs of membership so that our time and energy is well spent and our time enjoyable.

In October 1990 I purchased my 1988 Carrera. I joined our club in the spring of 1992. I’ve also owned a 1998 Carrera S since 2000. You could say I’m a fan of the air cooled generation. The history of Porsche is fascinating to me. As many of you may know, my father owned and raced a 1960 356 S90 and a 1957 RS 550 (which I have found). I’ve traveled to Stuttgart three times to tour the factory and museum in 1991, 1996 and again in 2019. Porsche has changed a lot since then, but the people haven’t. I look forward to working with everyone to make this the club we want it to be.

3. JIM DILLARD
– Treasurer – Director

US Navy Helicopter Aircrewman/Rescue Swimmer (SAR)
Retired US Navy Pilot – A-4, A-7, F/A-18
MD-11 Professional Flight Instructor at FedEx
Retired American Airlines Pilot – Fokker F-100, Boeing 737, 757, 767 and 787 University of Oregon – BS 1978 Marketing/Finance

Naval Postgraduate School – MS 1984 Financial Management

The first recollection I have of cars was my father and a buddy of his restoring a 1949 MG TC to near-Concours condition in our garage in Los Gatos, CA, during the early 1960s. My father kept that car for 30 years. We used to take family trips down to the Laguna Seca Raceway on the Monterey Peninsula to watch the Can-Am Series and Vintage Car Races. I was fortunately at least exposed to the auto world at a young age, and have never lost interest in cars since. I’ve also owned several Japanese and German motorcycles over the decades. I’m relatively new to the Porsche world having bought my first Porsche during the summer of 2020 when I joined PCA. My wife and I thoroughly enjoy the Musik-Stadt PCA Chapter and have made many good friends since joining!

4. LYNN SEIFERT
– Secretary – Director

Lynn Seifert holds a B.A., M.A, and EdD in Leadership and Supervision. She retired from Cheatham County Schools as their Superintendent and then moved out west as a high school principal for eight years. On returning to Tennessee, she worked for ESPN and Major League Baseball teaching school staffs across the nation bullying prevention strategies. After the pandemic, Lynn served as the Director of Adult Education for the 12 counties of Northern Middle TN. She is currently working part-time as a behavioral consultant and gifted and talented coordinator for a local school system. Lynn has previously served the club as President.

5. JOHN FEUERBACHER
– Membership Chair – Director, Standing Committee

After high school and early college education, I spent 20 years in the military and government service. For my second career, I spent 20 years teaching high school math, science, and computers. In my third career, I taught medical students at Vanderbilt Medical School for 15 years in the SIM lab, where I still work today, although enjoyably very part-time. I have a PhD in education with a medical education background. I am married to Pam Feuerbacher, and have one son, 4 grandchildren and currently 8 great grandchildren. I am a pilot, past scuba diver, have flown powered ram air parachutes (power gliding), and have rappelled off hills 20 years ago. My wife won’t let me do that now, but I would still like to do that today. However, I have probably pushed the envelope far enough. I still enjoy riding outdoor bicycles 12 to 16 miles daily.
I have had two Porsches, a 2003 Boxster S and my current car a 2017, 718S. I enjoyed working with people and especially Porsche enthusiasts. That’s why I enjoy my position as Membership Chair for our Musik Stadt, PCA region. This is my first year as membership chair.

7. RALF G. BAHR
– Activities Chair – Director, Standing Committee

Ralf G. Bahr was born, raised, and educated in Germany. He moved to the United States in 1981 and lived in New York and Boca Raton, Florida. In 2020, he moved to Murfreesboro, TN, to be closer to his sons’ families. In 1990, he proudly became a US citizen. Ralf and his wife, Janka M. Bahr, have built their lives together for more than 50 years. After completing high school and serving in the German Air Force, Mr. Bahr graduated from Cologne Business School in 1972 with a finance and real estate management degree. He began his career in the investment department of a private bank in Cologne in 1972 and later served as the sole representative of a London-based Merchant bank in Germany.

In late 1973, Ralf established his first business in Cologne, Germany. The purpose was to assist multiple European companies in identifying potential market opportunities in the United States and to help them secure financial support. In 1980, he expanded his business to the US and opened an office in New York. Then, in 1982, he relocated his family from Germany to Westchester County, New York.

After the fall of the Berlin Wall in late 1989, international companies started focusing on investing in emerging markets in Eastern Europe. From 1990 to 1994, Mr. Bahr was in Prague managing his company’s office in the Czech Republic. During this time, he provided clients with operational and capital-restructuring advice as various government-owned companies underwent post-privatization activities.

In 1994, Ralf G. Bahr moved from New York to Boca Raton, Florida, to supervise and complete specific personal commercial real estate projects in Southeast Florida. In parallel, he served as a senior consultant and executive vice president of a European merchant bank firm.

Between 2004 and 2022, he worked as a partner at a classic car dealership in Florida. The dealership primarily bought and sold vintage automobiles at classic car auctions. In addition to managing his own collection of classic cars, he also oversaw several private collections.

Since 2022, Ralf G. Bahr has been the Activities Committee Chair and Director of PCA Musik-Stadt Region. The Activities Committee organizes the annual Oktoberfest, a prominent club event.

Ralf’s initial Porsche was a 1969 911 T, Targa, which he purchased in 1972. Since then, he has owned various models. He became a member of the PCA in 2005 and switched to the PCA Musik-Stadt Region in 2021.

8. MICHAEL SMITH
– Dealer Liaison Chair – Director, Standing Committee

My work history was in the financial services industry — securities and insurance, primarily — along with real estate investing and mortgage financing as subsidiary operations. I had a good run and sold my financial planning practice and my mortgage company in 2010, retiring for all intents and purposes at that time. Concurrent to my career, I co-founded an Orange County, California, based 401(c)(3) in the early 2000s that focused on raising money for local needy children. Our goal was to raise money through fundraising events and distribute the funds donated to us directly to recipients within days, with the foundation returning 100% of the funds to the community. That business model worked well for us, as our donors knew their contributions would assist someone in need locally. When I left California in 2013, I decided to cease operations. I’m proud of the work we did there — we made a big difference on a small scale for kids in need, and we had a lot of fun doing it. I know my background and philanthropic service have prepared me to sustain — and, with continued hard work, grow — what the Board of Directors, as well as the previous members of The Board, have built here in Middle Tennessee: a fantastic organization with amazing people that share a love of all things Porsche.

As the current dealership liaison, I have enjoyed working with the fine folks at Porsche of Nashville to nurture and strengthen our thriving partnership. The dealership plays such a critical role by participating in — and supporting — our events and creating opportunities for our partnership to be mutually beneficial. The relationship we have forged with Porsche of Nashville is very, very important to the Musik-Stadt Region membership. Together, we create significant experiences, foster brand loyalty, and strengthen the bond within the Porsche family. On a personal note, I have found my interactions with the entire team at Porsche of Nashville to be professional and courteous, and my Porsche ownership experience has most certainly been positive in every way. I would be honored to continue representing our membership as Dealership Liaison, Musik-Stadt Region — Porsche Club of America.

9. JERRY FINK
– Safety Chair – Director, Standing Committee

I have been in love with Porsches since the late 1950’s. A neighbor and his son drove a beautiful 356. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to have owned four(4) Porsches with twenty (20) plus years of ownership. The initial Porsche was a 1968 912, followed by a 1981 Targa 911/SC, followed by the 2008 911 Carrera S,. and currently, the 911 Targa  4S.

I have been a member of PCA Musik-Stadt for over ten (10) years and the Safety Officer for approximately four (4) years. If elected, I would certainly enjoy continuing that responsibility.

10. MICHAEL MOODY
– Driving Events Co-Chair – Director, Standing Committee

Mike Moody joined PCA in 1976 after he purchased his first 1976 India Red 912E. He attended his first Porsche Parade in 1980 at Biltmore Estate, Asheville, NC. Over the next 40+ years, Mike has owned seven 911s, one Cayman S (Sunny), and a Cayenne. He currently owns the Cayenne and an Amaranth Red Metallic 991. He belonged to Wildness Trail, Peachstate, Smokey Mountain, Carolina’s, Lone Star, and Musik-Stadt Regions throughout that period. His day job was in manufacturing, so frequent job changes led to frequent moves.

Mike joined the Musik-Stadt Region in 2004 when the region was small and needed more activities. After discussions with Bill Seifert, the current President, Mike agreed to take over as president for the next ten years, with a short break when a new job took him to Houston, TX. Two years later, he returned and took over again as president of the region. During those ten years, membership grew thanks to the team Mike recruited and the frequent activities sponsored by the region. We began with annual membership banquets, monthly dinner meetings and drives, and our first Concours in the Park. Thanks, and go out to John Hudson for this suggestion. Mike, Don Wirth, and Dan Martin have created and led monthly drives for several years, and they plan to continue to do so next year.

11. DERRY KEHOE
– Webmaster – Director, Standing Committee

I have been a Porsche fan since I saw my first up close, a 914 in Olympic Blue that belonged to a friend’s father. Being 12 with a visible response to the car, my friend’s father handed me a dealer sales brochure on the 930 Turbo Targa, and I fell in love. After acquiring my late-life BA in 2021, 30-some years after my first encounter, I purchased my first 911 & have only miles of smiles to report since!

I spent 20+ years in top-40 radio on-air & in the studio working around the country, and spent time as technical director for a globally syndicated radio travel show in studios I helped design in downtown L.A.. Following a stint doing afternoons near DC, I shifted gears into doing website and social media management work in tv news, spending 12 years at that. Sooooooo the bulk of my career has been spent with my hands on websites in parts and pieces, leading to my current role as Manager of web content & QA, overseeing client website work for a full service marketing agency. We do everything from website development & support to email to direct mail to ad creation for streaming & broadcast platforms. From those massive brand-emblazoned tents at PGA Tour events to ad banners in all Home Depot stores, you’ve seen our work for dozens of clients that include the PGA, U.S. Government, Microsoft, Liberty Mutual, Forbes, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Shortly after joining PCA, I attended my first monthly club breakfast where Bob put forth an appeal for someone to take over managing the MSK website, and volunteered at that time… Since then I’ve integrated new elements for the club’s site, including launching an updated layout in August, implemented methods to enable ticket sales and paid registrations for our events, including localizing & streamlining this year’s concours registrations, and now of course the board elections platform.

12. NICK PAGLIA
– Social Media Chair – Director, Standing Committee

I’m Nick Paglia, a candidate for the Social Media Chair and Musik Stadt PCA member since 2022. I’m an active member of PCA (since 2020), both locally and nationally and have been looking for the right opportunity to increase my involvement in Musik Stadt. As a technology professional by day, I oversee an Olympic non-profit website and technology portfolio responsible for over 1mm unique visitors and $17mm in revenue per year. In my personal life, I maintain several social media accounts across popular platforms and act as an admin to a Facebook group of 6k members (and growing).

I understand the importance of technology and the critical role social media plays in growing and retaining membership in Musik Stadt. As the Social Media Chair, I will lean on years of technology experience and strong project management skills to thoughtfully plan, craft and execute a social media strategy. This plan includes a technology audit of our current platforms (to ensure safety and efficiency), exploration of additional channels to reach new members, and partnering with club members and leadership to ensure our social media channels display meaningful content and are a welcoming representation of Musik Stadt.
I would love to represent Musik Stadt as the Social Media Chair and hope you will consider my bid to fulfill the role.

13. NORMAN FOLLIS
– Director At Large

I have been a member of the PCA for 22 years, 18 of which were spent in the Orange Coast Region. Before moving to Nashville, I held the positions of vice president and Concours Emeritus of the OCR. Since joining the Musik-Stadt Region, I have served as Vice President and Member at large for the past two and a half years. I’ve been honored to receive the Enthusiast of the Year award twice.
